Guests will have the opportunity to win some incredible prizes, while supporting and gaining first-hand information about the critical work of ChaplainWatch in the late-night entertainment precincts of Brisbane and beyond. All are welcome. Come and find out first-hand the impact that this service is having on our local community.

The Ball will run from 6.30pm – 10.00pm. This is a great opportunity to network with businesses, members of our local community and other community-minded supporters who get behind our vital not-for-profit services within the inner city of Brisbane.

Funds raised will go towards the work of ChaplainWatch, including continuation of the NightWatch and NightSafe service aimed at keeping the people of Brisbane safe within the entertainment precincts.

About ChaplainWatch:

ChaplainWatch began in Brisbane in 2001, with an aim to fulfil a vital community service by being there to care for people visiting Brisbane’s entertainment precincts overnight.

ChaplainWatch is a unique not-for-profit charity who believe that people matter. Our focus is this: Watching out for you when good times go bad.

ChaplainWatch is designed to intentionally intervene where people are in crisis, at risk, and in need.

Our NightWatch program operates mobile and foot patrols overnight in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane CBD and Caxton Street. Additional to this, they run a dedicated rest and recovery space in Fortitude Valley providing a safe space for people suffering from alcohol and drug intoxication, mental health concerns, providing first aid or a place to regroup and offering a unique and caring diversion from Ambulance, Emergency departments, and police.

ChaplainWatch’s NightWatch Chaplains are a non-authoritarian presence on the streets. They are peacekeepers and peace-makers, first-aiders and clear-headed problem solvers. Every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night approximately 30,000 people – the equivalent to the population of Maryborough – head out to the Entertainment Precincts. The NightWatch Chaplains make sure they get home safe.
